This is my apple pie! I used a store bought refridgerated crust, because I so don't make dough, it never works out for me and I didn't want to waste my apples.
So I made a filling of all our apples diced up, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, sugar, and probably some other stuff. I made it Friday so my memory is fuzzy!
It was absolutely delicious with some nice french vanilla ice cream!

I have stories, but it seems that you do, too. What is this "opportunity" for Hef's dad? Your culinary offerings, as always, look beautiful and yuumy.
Looks absolutely yummy--I know how to make pie dough (I have a recipe that's been handed down from my grandmother, it's totally fail-proof), but I don't often have the time to deal with making it (and I can never roll it out right), so I use store-bought dough that's already rolled out. Doesn't quite taste like homemade, but it's not hideous.
