well today was a day! Most of the day was very nice, I went in the pool, soaked up the sun and squeezed in a fair amount of cleaning. Then at about 6pm I was outside with the dogs spraying them with the hose and having fun. I turned my back on Bandit to play with Shadow and Bandit took off. Our neighbor was walking from his front yard to his fenced in back yard and Bandit charged him! She was barking and rearing up and cornered him! I was shocked! I grabbed the remote to her training collar and was able to get her back under control. When Hef's dad came home I told him what happened and he went to our neighbors to see if he was ok. Bandit actually caused a cut on him! Now it looks like we are going to have to find a new home for Bandit. Her behavior with strangers is getting worse and I don't know how to fix it. I thought the time with us and good treatment would help Bandit get better but she isn't. Hef's dad told the neighbors we would get rid of Bandit within a week. We contacted a GSD rescue and I hope they can help but I;m so upset.

I'm so very sorry, I know you guys have tried all you could think of with her, if it wasn't for my Kiah being fearful of other dogs i would take her myself:( I'm sure the rescue will do all they can to find her a good home, but I know how hard this is going to be for you ((HUGS))
Oh, I'm so sorry to hear it. I know you hate to have to let her go. Hugs to all.
Ouch - tough. :<(
Got a daughter with a rescue shepard - same difficulty. No matter how hard and what she tries, the dog just remembers too many bad things and is not easy to manage.
Oh dear, so sorry to hear that--unfortunately, some dogs need more long-term and intensive training than others, and Bandit may be one of them. I hope the rescue can help you out.
I'm so sorry to hear about Bandit :'-( My hope for Bandit is that she finds an expert to live with, someoen with many years of experience with troubled dogs who can spend time working with her every day. I can imagine how difficult this is for you, and I'm so sorry.
Poor Bandit! A rescue is really the best option in these kind of cases--they have the most experience. It's hard, but probably the best thing for all.
So sorry to hear that. You should be proud as you tried really hard and did your best... Good luck Bandit!
I am so sorry to hear this :( You gave it your best shot and that is all Bandit can ask of you. I'm sure she appreciates everything you've done.
oh, i'm so sorry. I keep my GSD's--well, all our dogs contained in a yard of their own. I did have one that we had to find a home for because she just wasn't a pack dog and needed to be the only dog in the house. You'll find Bandit a home. GSD's need constant training and then reinforcing of that training.
