Also Samoyeds are know as the smiley dog, Shadow sure is a smiley dog! I am very pleased with my results and it didn't come back chihuahua!

THE RESULTS ARE IN!
We just got Shadow's test results in! I'm pretty excited that her results were split 50/50! On one side Shadow is a Samoyed and on the other she is a German Shepherd Dog. Shadow sure has a lot of shepherd look to her but I couldn't figure out the white on her, so that explains that and her deep love of snow, not to mention her thick neck fur.

I'm sure they are right and Shadow fits it to a "T" but here is my funny? DNA story. I am involved in finding why a big river here is highly polluted with fecal matter - is it bird? Dog? Ruminate? Human? You can have a sample DNA-tested to see what is in there. So we ran plain water over some gooey duck poop and sent it in as a test. Came back cow.
YAY Well now you know!!! She's beautiful no matter what breed she is, but it's nice to know what breeds your working with so that as she gets older you'll know what kind of illnesses to look out for. Did you do a test on Bandit? She's so clearly German Shepherd it would really be more of a test on the test!

Beautiful Dog! Funny you said "chihuahua!" One of my good friends who rescues pit bulls and spoils them rotten was talked into taking a puppy from a rescue to foster it ... under the assumption it was a rottweiler puppy... wasn't she surprised when it turned out to be a full grown chihuahua mix! She freaked out! She loves animals but most definitely is a big dog person.
